As a high school student, I knew I wanted to go to college, especially since I would be the first in my family. It felt like many odds were against me. I did not have the highest GPA, I did not do well on the ACT, and I did not have any scholarships going into my freshman year of college. I did not think it would be possible for me. I share this to say that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Being involved in student organizations drew me closer to other faculty and staff members that helped me navigate college. You are not alone! There are so many people rooting for you and are ready to be there with you every step of your college career! Always shine your light as bright as possible, we are proud of you!
